Tuesday 9/6 Lecture

The class stared off peculiar.  I was not expecting to start off the night with a clip from the movie Inception. The clip was fairly long, but had an important message to it. How do we know what reality really is?

Afterwards we had a mini discussion about the literal meaning the reality. Before long we watched yet another clip from a comparable movie The Matrix. This clip had yet the same meaning of what we perceive is a real reality. We each see reality in our own perspective. Identifying reality is really up to the eye of the beholder. We cannot judge one another's  reality since reality can hold different meanings.

After we had a mini discussion about reality, we focused on a cave in France that was discovered by a young kid named Marcel. These caves held some artwork from long ago. It is interesting how artistic people were on the walls of these caves. How they managed to build things to paint on the walls of these caves. If this kid would have never gone to explore we would have never known about these caves and the artwork that they hold til this day. All in all the lecture of this day had me wondering what really is real and what if what we believe to be real is really real. It confused me for some time, but what we know and believe is what we know is real. :)
